For the dissemination of the results the Medical University of Sofia organized the following activities:

  1. Presentation of the program in front the potential students and stakeholders on 16th-17th March 207 in Sofia;
  2. Presentation of the program in front the potential professionals from PIPRESKA group on  27-29 March 2017 in Barcelona;
  3. Presentation of the JOC on the ISPOR International congress in Boston on 22th May 2017;
  4. Presentation of the JoC on the European ISPOR congress in Glasgow on 6th November 2017;
  5. Presentation and publication of main achievements of the project at the Multiplier event held on 10th October 2017 in Sofia.

Report for the dissemination of results on 16th-17th March 207 in Sofia

During 16-17 March 2017 in Sofia was held a meeting to disseminate the results and knowledge on HTA among the potential students and stakeholders. The meeting was organized as a series of presentations on the existing HTA systems in Europe and questions and answers for the level of knowledge and interest towards the HTA process. 

The program of the event included presentations from the Dr. Alan Hycox and R. Hill on the UK procedures and practice of HTA in Nice, Prof. Z. Voko – HTA in Hungary, Dr. A. Zawada – HTA in Poland and Prof. John Yfantopoulos – HTA in Greece. 

The meeting was visited from 17 people as is added the participants list with signatures. At the end the participants evaluated the presentations and discuss the new JMD opportunities.

Assessment results for Sofia Meeting

The lecturers were evaluated from 4 to 6 in four main aspects: new knowledge learned; understandable presentation; attractive presentation; clear and informative presentation (Fig.1). All lecturers were evaluated with very high marks by the potential students and the total average mark for all lecturers is excellent 5.57. Therefore the students’ satisfaction at the end of the course is significant (Fig. 2).

Dissemination of results – Barcelona Pipreska meeting 27-29 March 2017

Pipreska meeting gather together experts in the educational and scientific field in the area of pricing and reimbursement, clinical pharmacology, public health, pharmaceutical regulation. The group is the right target to disseminate the results of the JoCurricula on HTA. At approximately 30 people participated at the meeting.

Prof. Petrova, Dr. Hycox and Dr. Dimitrova participated at the meeting and presented some of the results of the project and structure of the JoC. Program of the event is attached in the pdf file to this report.

The meeting agenda on 28th March included presentation of the Dr. Hycox and Prof. Petrova on the JoC. 

MEDEV Joint meeting and Piperska meeting 27 – 29 March – Barcelona

After the presentation was held a discussion on the general idea of the JoC development. It was discussed that there is a huge gap in the availability of programs on HTA and that the JoC is having a potential to fullfil this gap, especially in the countries of CEE. Positive feedback was received by prof. Goodman, Jolanta from Latvia, Anna from Viena, and Lars and Rickard from Karolinska Intritute. Participants considered that creation of the JoC on HTA by consortium of universities will increase the credibility of the curricula.

Presentation of the JOC on the ISPOR International congress in Boston on 22th May 2017

Prof. Petrova did a presentation on 22 May (7:15-8:15 am) in front the ISPOR CEE Network executive committee and chapter members on the Master Degree Program on HTA (see attached program and presentation in ppt format). At the meeting participated near 50 ISPOR members all around the world. The special interest group on Central and Easter Europe was presented by the leaders of  ISPOR Chapters from Bulgaria, Serbia, Hungary, Poland, Bosnia and Hercegovina, Ukraine, Azerbajdjan, Russia, and Israel.

The meeting discussed the proposed curricula in a very positive manner. Many participants express their interest in sending either students, or participate as lecturers in the education namely Prof. Zaliska, Prof. Czeck, Prof. Niewada, Prof. Greendberg. The participants commented that international curricula are rare and creations of such JoC will benefit exchange of experience and professionalism. 

Presentation of the JoC on the European ISPOR congress in Glasgow on 6th November 2017

The same presentation like in Barcelona and Boston was done by prof. Petrova at Glasgow European ISPOR congress on 6th November (12:30-13:45) in front ISPOR CEE working committees meeting. At the meeting participated the members of the Educational, Research and Publication ISPOR CEE committees members, at around 30 people from the central and eastern region.  The presentation was discussed as part of the education committee initiatives and receives positive evaluation. Prof. Kalo who chairs the section highlighted that the collaboration among 6 universities is a tremendous achievement and needs support. The interest towards the JoC was  very big and participants wanted to see and the continuation of the initiatives and new Project on KA1.
